A fond farewell to Pip and Hiatt

After three years at the helm of the Flood Innovation Centre, our Project Manager, Pip Betts is moving on to pastures new. We’re all sad to see her go but grateful for all that she’s achieved as she’s built our team and introduced new services and workshop opportunities, while navigating the challenges of Covid and a post-Brexit economic landscape!

We also say goodbye to Technology Research Manager, Hiatt Jackson, who takes up a post as Senior Flood Risk Officer with Hull City Council. Hiatt has supported many SMEs to innovate in flood resilience; designed and delivered several workshop programmes; and was a driving force in the development of the University of Hull’s SuDSLabUK.

Our colleagues Chun Keat Yew (Technology Research Manager) and Anton James (Business Development) will share joint responsibility for steering the Flood Innovation Centre to further success in 2023.
